Papaji Satsang
with
Mira

. 1968.  A young philosophy student studying for her exams in Brussels reads the great Socratic statement: "Know Thyself".  This need to know suddenly explodes through her and in three days she is on the road to India with a bottle of wine, a few onions, and a loaf of brown bread.  On a cold December evening, months and so many miles later, she is sitting in a tiny chai shop near the banks of the Ganga just upstream from Rishikesh.  Having just spent her very last Rupee on a glass of spicy milk tea, she opens her book to read some poetry of Kabir.  The Master walks up to her and asks if she needs any help understanding the verses of the Kashi Saint.

By the time Papaji reached her she had already accomplished more sadhana than most westerners even dream of.   She then spent over 16 years living and traveling with him throughout India and Europe.  Mira quietly shared the Gift she received  with many in small groups until Papaji's MahaSamadhi.  Then, as soon as Papaji's ashes merged with the Ganga in September of 97, Mira flowed into this role that now takes her throughout Europe and America.

During this time there will be the opportunity for Satsang with her at the

spiritual centres in India and there are many asrama nearby. Mira has been
invited by Anasuya, who has a very beautiful house there, which will be
perfect for meeting in Satsang.  Mira proposes to travel to and from India
with a small group of seekers. Any sincere seeker is welcome to join the group.

up; with Air India normally you will not need to pay until about 3 weeks
before the flight. Of course, you can just join for part of way.

As it will be peak season in Tiru for visitors (good climate), three rooms
have been pre-reserved at the Andra Ashram just 5 minutes walk from the
Ramanasramam. The Andra Ashram is at the end of a leafy lane away from the
busy road and payment is on a donation basis when you are there (say up to /
around 250 Rs single to 400 Rs double per night - excluding meals). These
particular rooms have to be confirmed by the end of October. Fax a copy of
your flight booking to Colin, who will arrange.

You can also contact directly the Ramanasramam and book a room + meals
there. Their address is : Sri Ramanasramam, Tiruvannamalai 606-603, Tamil
Nadu, India. Their email is a lot quicker : <alagamma@md2.vsnl.net.in>

If you would also like to donate something towards the cost of Mira's air
ticket, please give this to her directly - if possible before January 9th -
in an envelope marked "INDIA".
