Papaji often said that you need a strong body and mind for Freedom, so
for this, click here for books on Ayurveda,
Health, and Healing. By the way, International
orders are no problem and are sent by courier, airmail, or by Surface,
as you wish.
One should note that Papaji basically considered books to be a trap, filling your head with useless concepts which only served to veil the majestic Truth that we are this very Moment. In fact, he said books can destroy someone seeking the Truth and that they are much better read after you have experienced your true nature. So it may be better for you to turn your computer off right now, sit down, and be quiet. Imagine if you spent time focusing on Focus, being aware of only Awareness, instead of building and perusing online bookstores and otherwise cruising the web. Balance? Books? Quietness? Computer Screens? Awareness? Hmmm. Ahhaa! Be Quiet, this is my Advice, but if you have to think, think "I am Pure Consciousness, and if you have to speak, speak of the Self, and if you must read, read what the Enlightened have written. Kabir publishes a great book on Cancer and Advaita!
The Journey Through Cancer: by Jeremy R. Geffen M.D. (Kabir) An Oncologist's Seven-Level Program for Healing and Transforming the Whole Person This 288 page hardcover book describes the holistic approach, practiced successfully for many years by Kabir, of caring for people with cancer and for those who love them. In addition to his extensive medical education, Kabir (a board-certified medical oncologist) has studied Ayurveda, Advaita and Tibetan Medicine in India, Nepal and Tibet. The synergy that he weaves with these ancient healing/knowledge traditions and the western Allopathic practices creates a tapestry of focused and loving protocols for the journey through cancer! I have the very good luck of knowing Kabir for many years and can highly recommend his work which is a blossoming manifestation of his own experience at the Geffen Cancer Center in Florida and the advaita wisdom of his amazing teachers. with Devotees
"In the early nineties, when H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), an enlightened master in the lineage of Ramana Maharshi, could no longer travel, a flood of westerners came to be with him in Lucknow, India. He told them to call off their search. He said that they were what they were searching for. All they had to do was keep quiet. "You are happiness. You are peace. You are freedom itself." They heard him. A remarkable number of them awakened, or at least had a glimpse of their true identity. Their stories are captivating, and through their portrayals of Papaji his living transmission is offered to us." by Book Description Intimate first hand accounts from Gangaji, Prashanti, Yudhishtara, Isaac, Mira, Surendra, Sangeeta, Chandra, Yamuna, Neelam and Dasarath. I have been a spiritual seeker for a long time. I have read and pondered many metaphysical books, searched out autobiographies of spiritual masters. But I have never read one that affected me like"Meeting Papaji." I cannot recommend this book highly enough. By reading it I was literally brought into the presence of a living Master. Judy Summers

Collected Works of Ramana Maharshi by Arthur Osborne (Editor)
The vedic literature which is voluminous contains descriptions of various methods to realise God. Good number of books came in to light describing the methods eunciated in these scriptures. But most of the methods underline the need to have a Guru(Teacher)from whom only the secrets of sadhana (efforts)can be obtained. But Here is a great Maharshi who gives you a direct most simple technique ro realise God/Self. Only those blessed by God only would be drwan to his teachings which can be condensed to one line. |

Life involves suffering. Desire is the source of our suffering. There is

Paperback - 240 pages (September 1997)
If you have always assumed that Christianity and Buddhism are as far apart
philosophically as their respective founders were geographically, you may
be in for a bit of a surprise. In this national bestseller,
Zen monk and social activist Thich Nhat Hanh draws parallels between these
two traditions that have them walking, hand in hand, down the same path
to salvation. In Christianity, he finds mindfulness in the Holy Spirit
as an agent of healing. In Buddhism, he finds unqualified love in the form
of compassion for all living things. And in both he finds an emphasis on
living practice and community spirit.
The thread that binds the book is the same theme that draws many Christians
toward Buddhism: mindfulness. Through anecdotes, scripture references,
and teachings from both traditions, Nhat Hanh points out that mindfulness
is an integral part of all religious practice and teaches us how to cultivate
it in our own lives. Nhat Hanh has no desire to downplay the venerable
theological and ritual teachings that distinguish Buddhism and Christianity,
but he does cause one to consider that beyond the letter of doctrine lies
a unity of truth. Book Reviews

| Featured Book: The
Gift Poems by Hafiz (Highly recommended)
Hafiz, a secret Sufi, came to prominence in his day as a writer of love poems. That love transformed into an all-consuming passion for union with the divine. In The Gift, Daniel Ladinsky bestows on us the impassioned yet whimsical strains of Hafiz's ecstasy. Never forced or awkward, Ladinsky's Hafiz whispers in your ear and pounds in your chest, naming God in a hundred metaphors.
I once asked a bird,
Like Fitzgerald's version of Khayyam's Rubaiyat,
the language of The Gift strikes a contemporary chord, resonating
in the reader's mind and then in the heart. Ladinsky's language is plain,
fresh, playful--dancing with an expert cadence that invites and surprises.
If it is true, as Hafiz says, that a poet is someone who can pour light
into a cup, reading Ladinsky's Hafiz is like gulping down the sun. --Brian

List Price: $34.95 Our Price:
$24.47 You Save: $10.48 (30%)
Georges van Vrekhemâs long awaited book, "Beyond the Human Species"
is an exquisite exegesis of the internal lives of Sri Aurobindo Ghose and
Mirra lfassa (La Mere/The Mother), two very important spiritual figures
of the 20th century. The "Two who were One," left an enormous literary
wake, describing their development and experiences, and their lives were
recorded in their letters, talks and the reminiscences of their disciples.
However, until now, their integral spiritual history has not been systematically
presented in a single volume. "Beyond the Human Species" addresses the
most amazing journey our species has ever embarked on. Sri Aurobindo and
The Mother "went forth and ploughed in other fields," to use an expression
from the Rg Veda. Seldom has the Divine emergence been documented so closely,
so literally, as in the words, works and lives of this extraordinary Man
and Woman. This book is a fascinating reading experience, culled from massive
amounts of material, as well as the authorâs personal relationship
with the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. This is a blessed book.

| A personal account of Awakening is, of course, an oxymoron,
but you get the idea. As Papaji says, "Only the ego can be enlightened",
Self cannot be unenlightened. I have only read one of these,
but in asking around I hear they range from interesting through good to
great. Let me know how they serve you. The one I read is the first
one listed here. Sri Poonjaji gave Andrew so much juice, put him
so high on a pedastal, and then, as the crazy wisdom Master Papaji is:
WHACK! He chopped the pedastal down to chop Andrews concept of separate
self and test the remaining strength of the ego. Ego 1, Freedom 0,
or so it seems. As Papaji says, "Nothing is as it appears to be."
So enjoy the book and let go of the judgements, both your's and Andrew's
that ensue in later books. Andrew's relationship withthe Master is a little
reminiscent of Rama and Ravana.

The book Esoteric Anatomy :The Body As Consciousness
demystifies a
ancient vision of the universe as a living, breathing, conscious Being. In the same way that our life breath spirals down to vitiate every cell, molecule and atom of the body. The life breath of a living universe is the spiraling energy whirling through every dimension of creation. Esoteric Anatomy offers a scholarly study of the esoteric literature of the Himalayas sages. This cosmology which understands energy in nature as conscious sound vibration is applied in a hands on holistic approach to psycho-spiritual integration and natural healing through caring touch and conscious intention. Esoteric Anatomy charts a journey of contemplation of some of the deepest questions of the human condition, nature and the cosmos. Join in contemplating a vision which Himalayan sages avow offers the culmination of human consciousness . . . For without this realization of the sacredness andunity of all life, all else is ignorance.Bruce Burger |

the person most responsible for merging the ancient healing and spiritual

through a 15-minute morning yoga set, while Patricia Walden leads a 20-minute
evening routine on the p.m. tape. The a.m. tape was filmed on a beach in
Maui at sunrise, providing a soothing background for this gentle workout.
In the morning, Rodney tells us, "the body is rested but stiff from inactivity."
The stretches he demonstrates are designed to increase circulation, improve
mobility, and bring clarity to your mind. The movements are easy to follow

and the set is short enough that it can be squeezed into the most hectic
of morning schedules. The p.m. video was filmed at sunset in Death Valley.
Patricia's yoga set is designed to quiet the mind after the stress of the
day and to help you make the transition from active to quiet. She uses
